Ted Stevens is not necessarily “innocent”…
The District of Columbia has thrown out the sanctions on Ted Stevens’ law license in response to his conviction being overturned due to prosecutorial misconduct, meaning he can now practice law again in DC. This after Governor Sarah Palin asked newly elected Sen. Mark Begich to step down in light of Stevens’ charges being dropped.
Let [...]

You-Eff-Oh?
Way back when, as a child, I’d sometimes watch TV shows about UFOs like Unsolved Mysteries or some random documentary about UFO sightings. Of course, these shows never presented any solid evidence, relying instead on grainy film and dodgy interviews. Still, I thought it was neat that there was the possibility that this unexplainable stuff [...]

Happy/Cold 2009!
I have to say that I appreciate Ms. Mother Nature handing Juneau a bunch of snow to start the new year off right. It actually feels like winter, which I suppose offsets the dismally rainy and cloudy summer we had. The City & Borough of Juneau is doing a great job keeping up with snow [...]

Seong’s: Best. Sushi. Ever.
I’ve eaten sushi in Minneapolis, I’ve eaten sushi in Phoenix, I’ve even eaten sushi in Helsinki, Finland. I’ve eaten a lot of sushi: rolls, nigiri, raw, cooked, good, bad, homemade, you name it. All this and I only started eating sushi within the last five years or so!
In all this sushi eating, the best sushi [...]

A couple of minor gripes…
Just need to share two website annoyances so I can thoroughly enjoy the rest of Friday, including Gallery Walk and an awesome photo exhibit:
Juneau Empire: Why, oh why, do you need to have TWO distinct websites to do the same thing? JuneauBlogger.com – the site, not the content – is fairly useless. Why can’t the [...]

Terrorist? Aw, that’s just water under the Bridge to Nowhere…
Sarah Palin says she’d be honored to help Obama if he asked. Of course, she’s still concerned about that whole “pallin’ around with terrorists” thing, but heck, the campaign’s over. Why dwell on the past?
You can’t rule Palin out of an Obama administration. There are possibilities for her. For instance, what better choice than Palin [...]

Constitution? What the heck IS that?
Every day brings a new low, but this gaffe made my “Embarrassed to be an Alaskan” meter jump a bit more than others.
First Sarah Palin couldn’t keep straight what a Vice President’s role in the senate is, now she appears to have no idea what the First Amendment actually entails.
During an interview on WMAL-FM, the [...]

A Message For Sarah Palin
Just came across the below video posted to YouTube a few days ago by a user based in Chicago. According to its description, it’s a “message From the Young Girls of America to Sarah Palin,” and is pretty compelling. You’ll either love it or hate it depending on which side of the Palin barbed wire [...]

Just for Fun…
Over at MyHeritage.com, they have a fun little application that will let you upload a photo of yourself and see what celebrities you most closely resemble. Of course, you can upload photos of others too… Hmm…
I like that Rod Stewart shows up – maybe Hot Legs could be her next theme song…
It’s pretty funny that [...]

Joe the Plumber
Since Joe “the Plumber” Wurzelbacher came up so much in last night’s debates, it’s no wonder he’s enjoying a tiny bit of short-lived celebrity. Do a quick search on him and take a look. He’s got to be first cousin to Joe Sixpack, just check out this interview with him.
Mr. Wurzelbacher’s views would be funny [...]
