Single sculler Colleen Sullivan moves along Gastineau Channel Saturday morning for a brisk tune-up to start the day. The Juneau Rowing Club will host its annual summer regatta on Saturday. The Gastineau Channel Challenge Regatta, a 1,000-meter course, features two races, one for men and one for women, and is open for rowers of all ages and abilities. The finish line is the end of the sailing club’s dock in Gastineau Channel.

Juneau Juniors romp in District 2 All-Star tourney

The Juneau Juniors are steamrolling into the championship series of the District 2 All-Stars baseball tournament after defeating host Wrangell, Sitka and Ketchikan by a combined score of 50-5 over the weekend in round-robin play.
