Haines resident Craig V. Flory died Dec. 16, 2009, at Providence Extended Care in Anchorage after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke. He was 50.

Daniel Franklin Malick
Juneau resident Daniel Franklin Malick died Jan. 20, 2010, due to complications during a hip resurfacing surgery in Islamabad, Pakistan. He was 60.
