Thanks for donating to the Glacier Valley Breakfast Club

On behalf of Glacier Valley Elementary Breakfast Club, I would like to sincerely thank the following donors who have generously contributed to our program this year. Breakfast Club operates solely on donations from businesses and individuals. We have been providing breakfast for about 75 students on a daily basis this school year.

Rest well, Bob Beierly

It was with deep sorrow I read the passing of Bob Beierly in October last. Bob served with us as a member of Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols in Germany during 1961 and 1962.

Consortium encourages participation in 2010 Census

JUNEAU – Every 10 years, the U.S. Census Bureau counts everyone in the country. The SouthEast Alaska Regional Health Consortium has partnered with other tribal groups in the region to encourage all residents of Southeast Alaska to take part in the 2010 Census this winter/spring.

Hoonah Police Department hosts training session on domestic violence

HOONAH – The Hoonah Police Department hosted a three-hour training session last Tuesday to better enable police, medical providers, emergency personnel and counselors to deal with domestic violence from a common approach.
