Bears drop four games, each by one goal
It was a tough week for the Juneau-Douglas hockey team after the Crimson Bears dropped four games in four days, each by just one goal, in the Homer End of the Road Shootout.

More than 350 attend Love INC’s annual benefit auction
JUNEAU – More than 350 people attended Love In The Name of Christ’s fifth annual benefit auction on Friday at Centennial Hall. There were 110 donations ranging in value from $10 to over $600, including many delightful desserts.

St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Juneau earns AAHP Ten Most Endangered Grant
The Alaska Association for Historic Preservation recently announced its awards and grant recipients: Lifetime Achievement Award went to Steve Peterson, of Anchorage; the Restoration Project Award went to Don Corwin, of Skagway; and the Ten Most Endangered Grant went to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Juneau.
