Juneau-Douglas runner Leah Francis, No. 16, set the pace at the start of the girls’ Southeast District cross country meet on Saturday at Ward Lake in Ketchikan. Francis finished with a prominent lead for a another big win. Full results Monday.

TMHS pounds Ketchikan
A particularly dry local football season went south on Saturday as the skies opened up at Thunder Mountain High School, where the Falcons scored 24 unanswered points in the first half en route to a 31-8 victory over Ketchikan.
