Woman robbed in Mendenhall Valley

Police are searching for a man that allegedly robbed a 27-year-old woman in the Mendenhall Valley early Thursday morning. The victim reported that a man approached her and demanded money shortly after 1 a.m. while she was sitting in a vehicle at a business. Before she could react, the man opened the door and grabbed her purse, according to police. She held onto the purse and was dragged from the vehicle before the man fled the scene with the purse in hand.

Program managers seek help naming newborn reindeer

Managers of the Reindeer Research Program in Fairbanks have 16 newborn reindeer on their hands and they’re asking the public to help name them.
