The world is blue…

And we’re not just talking about water, either.

Check out If The World Could Vote? and cast your vote while you’re at it. (Or go straight to the results if you’re too impatient.)

While not a statistically valid sample of the world’s opinion with only 100,000 votes cast so far, it’s pretty interesting that any country with any sort of large representation, Finland for example, is overwhelmingly in favor of Barack Obama. You have Macedonia at 100% McCain, which is just weird, but for the most part, it seems the world, the US included, would like to see Obama in the White House.

Of course, it might just be that those who’d normally vote for McCain are at a technological disadvantage and don’t know how to use the Google to navigate the tubes. Who knows.

In other entertainment news, I stumbled across a pretty funny satirical article titled McCain Replaces Palin with Startled Deer. My favorite part: “According to campaign insiders, the decision to select a hoofed mammal to replace Gov. Palin evolved after Sen. McCain watched his running mate’s performance in a series of interviews with CBS’s Katie Couric. “Good Lord, a startled deer could do better than that,” Sen. McCain reportedly said, prompting his aides to draw up a shortlist of startled deer.”

Haven’t seen the Katie Couric interview? Check it out here or, better yet, SNL’s version.

On that note, with tomorrow bringing the much anticipated Palin vs. Biden debate, I’ll leave you with today’s FiveThirtyEight.com’s electoral projection (just a week ago it was Obama 307.8, McCain 230.2):

Obama looks to be widening the lead...
